Your mission

As Marketing Associate, your mission is to support our Marketing Manager in building and amplifying the OKAPI:Orbits brand in the space sustainability sector. This is not a support role in the background as from day one you will take real ownership of marketing initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, working also closely with our Chief of Staff and Operations Team. You drive our online visibility, create compelling content that resonates with our target audiences, and help position OKAPI:Orbits as a thought leader in space traffic management. By bringing creativity, structure, and a data-driven mindset to our marketing activities, you enable our team to grow the business and win new customers.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Marketing:
  • Content creation for social media to enhance employer branding
  • Administrative and project management support for conferences, workshops and other events
  • Implementing marketing intelligence database of competitors, prospects and partners
  • Maintaining and expanding always up to date internal knowledge base
  • Supporting content creation like one pagers and brochures together with technical team
  • Increasing online company visibility through SEO and SEA

Content & Brand:

  • Create and manage engaging content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant platforms to support recruiting and inform about our service portfolio
  • Support the development of marketing collateral such as one-pagers, brochures, case studies, and presentations together with our commercial and product teams as well as our designers
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels
  • Contribute to the production of gated content such as white papers, reports, and newsletters

Digital Marketing:

  • Increase online visibility through SEO optimization and support of SEA campaigns
  • Support the creation of a new website and afterwards update it with fresh content and landing pages
  • Track and report on key marketing metrics and campaign performance using analytics tools
  • Identify and implement improvements to the marketing funnel based on data insights

Events & Community:

  • Provide administrative and project management support for conferences, trade shows, workshops, and other industry events
  • Support the preparation and implementation of quarterly webinars

Your profile

These qualifications are a must:

  • Creativity: You have a genuine passion for storytelling and translating complex technical topics into compelling, accessible content.
  • Reliability: You take ownership of your tasks and follow through.
  • Team Player: Collaboration is a cornerstone of our company culture. You'll work across teams including engineering and sales to craft content that is both accurate and engaging.
  • Your English level should be C1, spoken and written, ideally English is your mother tongue. 
  • You are already located in Germany and can move to Brusnwick or are already based here because you will work onsite in our office in Brunswick. Therefore, for this position, we do not consider applicants with a residence outside Germany. Furthermore, we cannot offer any VISA sponsorship.
  • Ideally, you are enrolled in a master's degree (or 5th+ semester in a bachelor's degree) in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, International Management, or a related field with a marketing focus. You should be enrolled for at least the next 6 to 12 months, and see this position as a potential stepping stone for your future career at OKAPI:Orbits.

These qualifications are a bonus:

  • Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with the space industry or deep-tech B2B marketing will help you create more targeted and credible content faster. Having worked with CRMs like Hubspot is a plus.
  • Previous Start-up/Work Experience: You have worked in a marketing role in a fast-paced startup, design/brand agency, or consultancy environment before.
  • Graphic Design: Experience designing visuals in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools is a strong plus
  • Website Management: You have hands-on experience updating or building company websites using CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Webflow).
  • German content creation: Ideally you are also fluent in German (at least B2) which is a big plus.
